This place was absolutely mind-blowing! The hosts were super accessible and helpful. The location was jaw-droppingly peaceful and cozy, with stunning sunset views. It's on a farm but conveniently close to the village and beaches. The cottage itself was spacious and perfect for my elderly father, with a bathroom suitable for his needs. We loved the inviting private garden and the abundance of wildlife. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay and we can't wait to visit again. Plus, the neighbouring cottage and the whole farm were so quiet, it felt like we had the place to ourselves. The nearby town of Kirkudbright was a short drive away and offered plenty of attractions, including the monthly market and Scottish evening. We had a super time and highly recommend this place!

I had a fantastic stay at this holiday cottage on a working farm. The location was incredibly peaceful and quiet, with beautiful views of the hills and stunning sunsets. The cottage itself was well laid out, clean, and had all the necessary amenities. The hostess was very friendly and welcoming. Additionally, this city had a lot to offer with its Arts trail, monthly market, and weekly Scottish evening.

    For us, it was ideal.

loved this little cottage on a remote farm. the cozy layout and fabulous views made for a private and relaxing stay. the roaming hens added to the charm, and we enjoyed the company of the farm cat and dog. plenty of interesting wildlife and nearby places to explore. truly a perfect escape from the outside world.

    Faulty dishwasher.

The house was modern, spacious, and clean. the host was friendly and welcomed us on arrival. the countryside was beautiful and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing getaway. We enjoyed the company of the farm cat and dog, and even encountered some interesting wildlife. There were plenty of interesting places to visit nearby, such as Threave Gardens and the Mill with its second-hand bookshop and cafe. the sunsets were absolutely spectacular.

The house was located quite far from the town and driving down narrow lanes with oncoming traffic was challenging, especially with a large vehicle. It was also unexpected that the house was on a working farm, which posed a problem for our vegan family members.

Modern and spacious house, with clean and well-equipped amenities.

Misleading information about the location, as the house is situated on a working farm rather than being isolated in fields.

We had a wonderful stay at the villa near the village and beaches. It was peaceful and cosy, perfect for my elderly father. the cottage was spacious, on one level, and had a bathroom with a walk-in shower that suited his needs. the private garden provided a relaxing environment with beautiful sunset views. Despite being on a working farm, the location felt secluded and we enjoyed the views across the hills. the cottage was well-maintained, clean, and had all the amenities we needed.

Cons: There was nothing I didn't like.

Spacious property with beautiful views of the hills and amazing sunsets. Close proximity to charming towns and activities in Dumfries.

If you visit in winter and don't have a 4x4 vehicle, be prepared to struggle with the icy uphill section of the farm drive. Limited options for transportation in harsh weather conditions.
